What We're Wearing {Last of Summer}

I was hoping to be able to show off another little girl for the last week of What I'm Wearing, but she has decided to hold out.

Week 38
Shirt: Down East Basics - so versatile and great for layering!
Skirt: Rue 21
Pj Pants: Homemade by me :)
Necklace: Sears clearance

She wouldn't let me take a picture at home but I thought her outfit choice was adorable. So I took a picture wherever she would let me.

Shirt: Circo from Target
Skirt: Kiddie Korner from Fred Meyer
Black pants: Circo from Target
Fun purple socks: Vanity Fair
Sparkly shoes: Garanimals from Walmart
Crown: Target Dollar Spot

Week 39 1/2…
Shirt: Xhiliration pj shirt from Target
Black Tank: Maurice's
Pants: Liz Lange Maternity from Target

Take note of the adorable "little dinosaur" that is attacking the mirror :)

Hopefully I'll have a little one to share soon…
Enjoy the rest of your summer!

What We're Wearing *july 15*

Another week!

37weeks
Capris: Old Navy maternity
Black tank: Maurice's  … I LOVE these tank tops! They are snug, long, and wide strapped. Some of my other tank tops straps are pretty stretched out and I think it's because they have really skinny straps. I actually had my mom send me up some bigger sizes for this pregnancy since they aren't maternity and we don't have a Maurice's in AK.
Green sweater: Laura Scott brand…I think I got it from a thrift store.
Black flower earrings: gift from a friend

Shirt: Babee Producks
I love this company! They have super cute tees with such positive messages! They are currently undergoing a company revamp but you should totally check them out! They are introducing their new line and name in August.

Skirt: Jumping Beans from Kohls

Shirt: Old Navy maternity
Super comfy pj bottoms: Xhilaration at Target

What *We're* Wearing {July 8}

Linking up with Jivey again…

Top: Old Navy - It's not technically a maternity shirt, but since it's more of a flow-y style, it works. )
Jacket: Aeropostale
Jeans: Liz Lange Maternity for Target - I like these jeans because they aren't a full belly cover.
Sandals you can't see- Target

Look look! I finally got a full length mirror! It's definitely not the type I want forever, but until I can get a nice, big, fancy mirror this will do.

Dress: Homemade by my momma :)
*36 Weeks*

Silagirl
Dress: Maggie & Zoe - not sure where from as it was given to us.

What I'm Wearing Wednesday {6.10}

I decided to show two different outfits today as part of Jivey's Linky party.

The first is actually from a few weeks ago.
Me:
Calvin Klein striped dress with blue rope belt from Burlington
Cardigan from I can't remember.
Baby bump about 29 weeks

Sila Girl:
Shirt from The Children's Place
Light pink skirt from handme downs
Dark pink Kiddie Korner skirt
Pink cowboy boots from Walmart

This is what I'm actually wearing today. I'm one of the ladies in charge of my church ward's girls' camp this year, so we're out enjoying nature. Actually, they are at the waterfront while I rest my sore back & hip.

Old School Sweater: stolen from my older brother a long time ago. I kind of wonder why and how I still have it as he is 6 years older than me.
Do you have any oldies but goodies hiding in your closet?

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to join up!!

What I'm Wearing, Wordless Wednesday {July 23}

Are you country or city at heart?

  This dress was my splurge during my trip, but it was still a great deal.  This was from Gordmans ($35), which I guess is similar to a little bit nicer Ross. I love this dress for a few reasons, but the main reason is that it is a maxi dress with sleeves! Because of my religious beliefs, I don't wear sleeveless clothing. All my other maxi dresses I have to wear a shirt under or a cardigan over. Sometimes that's not the most comfortable thing.

I love this detail too! It makes it so that it doesn't show every line underneath the dress.

I could't leave out my little girl and my nephew this time. They are ready for church! Baby K is wearing an adorable smocked dress made by my grandmother. All the white embroidery on the smocking and the tatting on her collar was done by hand.
Nothing beats good quality homemade with love!

What I'm Wearing Wednesday: {7.16}

I've been pretty quiet as I am still hanging out in Eastern Oregon with my family. Today is a super chill day ending with a family fish feed with salmon and halibut I brought down from Alaska. Normally my hubby is the cook but I guess I get the honors this time around since he's off on a boat somewhere around the Alaska Peninsula. I have had fun shopping at a bunch of stores that is not in AK. :)

It's pretty warm here (102 degrees to my normal mid-70s) so I was looking for shirts I could wear now and for teaching. I'm a pretty casual dresser. I don't really like slacks so I also looked for pants that weren't jeans but still comfy and cute. Here are a couple of my scores:

Shirt: PerSeption Concept from Gordmans.  {OOPS... I went shopping to so many stores, I messed up. This is actually from Ross.} This shirt is super comfy jersey that is light enough to wear to in the heat and nice enough to wear to school. ($10)
Skinny Pants: Rue 21 I'm new to the skinny pants scene, but I really liked these pants. They aren't perfect but I love the color and their price. They were on sale or clearance or something because I got three pairs in different colors and each had their own price. $5, $3, and $2. Who could pass that up!?

Another shirt from Gordmans  Ross (American Dream brand) that is lovely for the heat and cute enough for the classroom. ($6)
The shorts I think I bought last summer down here and that was the last time I wore them too. I don't wear shorts, like ever, back home. It's either too cold or too many mosquitoes.

I'll be posting a couple of the things I got from Gordmans. It's still an awesome store. :)

On other note, I did find out that the shift of classrooms at my school has started. That means that I can go kind of start setting up my room when I get back home. Yay! I'm pretty excited. I'm planning on taking a lot of my piggies and finally putting them in my room. It's going to be a good time!

Wednesday Link Ups

A busy week with family…. my parents & nephew flew out this morning. Now I am packing mode for me and the little one. We fly out the night of the 4th of July. Don't worry, I won't miss much. With it being pretty much daylight all the time during the summer, you can't really see any fireworks. That's one of the downfalls to Alaska because I love fireworks. Oh well… can't have everything.

I have been taking all sorts of pictures for the last 10 days. We have had tons of fun in the Last Frontier. However, when I went to see if I had a picture that I could use for this fun linky…I found none! I took all the pictures and was hardly in of them! Ever happen to you? I'm hoping my mom got at least of few of me with the kids on her camera. So this week you just get to look at my adorable little girl again.
Pant/Jacket: Carter's Set
Life Vest: Kids Don't Float
(It's awesome! Most of the docks up here have vests that you can borrow for kids to go on the boats.)

What sort of "celebrities" do you have in your area?
This is Lance Mackey, a dog musher who is also a 4 time winner of the Iditarod.

What I'm Wearing Wednesday {6.25}

It's time to join up again with Jessica from Ideas by Jivey and Miss DeCarbo from Sugar & Spice!

First up, Wordless Wednesday:

Yay for cousins! This is her only cousin from my side of family up to visit with my parents from Oregon. She can do anything that he can do.

Do you live close to family or do you have take trips to visit?

Next link up:

I'm a pretty basic dresser. You'll usually catch me in solids or neutrals with just a pop of color/accent. I'm starting to adventure out and am gradually adding more interesting pieces to my closet.

Top: DownEast Basic Wonder Tee
Jeans: American Eagle Skinny Kick
(My gateway to skinny jeans. Yes, I barely started wearing skinnies in the last 3 months.)
Sandals: Curfew
(these were an adventure outside of my normal. I used to live in flip flops but I wanted to try something that could help dress up my every day wear. I have to say, I love them!)
Belt: Kohls (from my cousin's wedding. Love it when you can reuse things!)
Necklace: "Firefighter's Daughter" that I've had since forever

I decided that I might as well show off my little girl as well. :)
This was heading to church on Sunday. My husband said that she reminded him of Pebbles from the Flintstones.

Dress: Carters
Shoes: Wonder Kids

Thanks for stopping by!

What I'm Wearing Wendesday {June 18}

I think the idea of this post…it made me actually get dressed in something other than sweats. :) I could live in sweats but that doesn't always help me feel awake.

Thanks for the fun idea Jivey!

I haven't figured out a good way to get a picture of me…I don't have good full length mirror, only what used to be a mirrored bar top, so I'll settle with what my baby is wearing today. :) Who doesn't love baby clothes, especially little girl clothes?

Onesie: Just One You made by Carters (a hand-me down)
Jeggings: Denim colored-Ruffled bum from Old Navy (clearance for like $5)
Flower Headband: From a local shop, The Baby Store ($5)
Necklace: Target, party favor section, it has a light up cupcake charm ($3)

Shirt: Rue 21 (It's print says "love")
Jeans: Miss Me Jeans (even though you can't see them.)
